We are excited to announce that we will be running Let's Play Magic Auckland at the Aotea Centre in September!
Gather your friends for a fun weekend of both competitive and casual Magic the Gathering events.
We will have a wide variety of events including a dedicated CommandZone for casual games of Commander with your friends.
A well stocked Prize Wall for you to spend your prize tickets gained at the event.
What are the door times?
9:00am both Saturday and Sunday.
Is entry free?
Yes. Entry to the event is free — you can walk the floor, visit artists, and browse vendors at no cost. Tickets are only required if you want to play in events, access CommandZone, or earn and redeem Prize Tickets at the Prize Wall. Tickets to side events and CommandZone guarantee entry on the day.
What tickets are available?
- CommandZone Day Pass – $45 NZD (one day, 2 Game Tokens)
- CommandZone Weekend Pass – $80 NZD (both days, 4 Game Tokens)
- CommandZone VIP Pass – $130 NZD (both days, 4 Game Tokens + 1 Random Collector Booster)
Where's and When is it held?
Aotea Centre, 50 Mayoral Drive, Auckland. On the 12–13 September 2026.
What's included with a pass?
Access to a dedicated Commander play space for the day(s) selected, plus the Game Tokens (and Collector Booster for VIP) listed above.
What are Game Tokens?
$15 value tokens, purchasable at Registration or included in some passes. Use them for a $15 discount on scheduled event entries, or redeem with a Judge after a Commander pod for 20 Prize Tickets, or convert at the Prize Wall for a Play Booster. Note: sale may be restricted or limited on the day.
What are Prize Tickets?
Earned throughout the weekend, redeemable at the Prize Wall for boosters, accessories, playmats, etc. Base value is 10 Prize Tickets = $10 AUD.
