CommandFest Melbourne — SPACE FOR EVERYONE
CommandFest Melbourne is coming to the Melbourne Convention Centre from 4–6 December, and there's a seat at the table for every kind of Commander player.
Three days dedicated to everyone's favourite way to play Magic: The Gathering. Whether you're bringing your pet Commander deck for casual pods, jumping into structured Commander events, or just want to soak up the atmosphere with fellow players, this weekend is built for you.
What to expect:
- Commander and EDH-focused play all weekend, with events for every experience level
- A packed trade and vendor hall to browse cards, accessories, and everything in between
- Exclusive playmats, promos, and prizes up for grabs
- Side events and casual tables if you want to mix things up between rounds
- A community-first vibe, this is a weekend for Commander players, by Commander players
That's what CommandFest is all about, There is space for everyone. New to the format or a seasoned pilot, come pull up a chair, sling some spells, and hang out with the ANZ Commander community.

CommandFest Melbourne 2026 is a badged event.
You MUST purchase the General Admission Pass to enter the event. The pass contains
- Admission to CommandFest for all 3 days
- 1 Fyndhorn Elves non foil Commander promo
- 1 Commander Token
Commander Tokens:
Are new and can be used in one of 2 ways
- Play a Game of Commander and when your game is completed call a Judge over who will redeem your Commander Token for 20 Prize Tickets.
- Redeem at the Prize Wall for any Play Booster
These replace our Game Tokens for this event
You cannot use Commander Tokens to reduce event entry.
Play Points:
Our new digital prize ticket system - are awarded for event prize structures and Commander games. 10 Play Points = roughly $10 value. We will have a host of Prizes on the Prize Wall.
Plan your weekend, get your tickets early.
You can sign up for Side Events by purchasing the tickets for events you want to play in ahead of time. These events may sell out so don’t delay, get your tickets now. We may have space on the day but to be sure pre register!

Mystery Booster 2!!! These boosters have been a fan favourite for a few years now, giving access to cards that are no longer in print – and those wacky convention playtest cards.

Will there be Guest and Artists?
Yes! we are still sorting out specifics but will announce as soon as we can.

Will it be worth coming if I'm new to Magic: The Gathering?
Yes! As our events grow we aim to cater for every type of player base, new, returning, experienced, competitive. There is a Space for Everyone at CommandFest Melbourne
Can I use Proxy Cards?
No, Proxy cards are not allowed at official Wizards of the Coast events.
Is There a VIP Pass?
For a VIP style experience choose the Captains Package add on. This is very similar to previous VIP tickets
Where do I find the Schedule?
On the Main page, if you choose the 'DAY OF' tab you will see a list of all events. Full information can be found in the ticketing for each event once you choose the General Admission Pass.
